[1-A] Yoga-Therapy in Patients with Chronic Neurological Diseases In Neurological rehabilitation, patients must relearn bodily and mental functions, which are lost due to disease. In this workshop, the concept of basic brain functions related to the learning process will be presented first. Next, basic and special Yoga techniques we use for patients in the clinic will be shown. Finally, individual videos of stroke patients before and after the holistic treatment in the clinic will be shown. KWA-Klinik Stift Rottal in Germany is a holistic inpatient Rehabilitation Center for patients with chronic disabling neurological deficits like stroke or Multiple Sclerosis. In 1996 the clinic started to establish Yoga-therapy in cooperation with the SVYASA Yoga University in Bangalore, India.

After studying law and economics at Munich University, Garner studied medicine and then trained as a neurologist. He became medical director at KWA Klinik Stift Rottal in Bad Briesbach, Germany. KWA Klinik Stift Rottal is a holistic inpatient Rehabilitation Center for patients with chronic disabling neurological deficits like stroke or Multiple Sclerosis. Dr. Garner introduced yoga therapy to the clinic in 1996 with cooperation from sVYASA Yoga University.
